This church is located in central Boise. Built in the 1960’s there had been some additions done to it several years ago. The challenges for the church included lack of foyer space, auditorium needs, the need for a cafe, and an overall welcoming feel. MWA’s Facility Action Plan planned out several incremental steps to allow the church to make improvements as money came available. The first phase was to redo the auditorium to accommodate contemporary worship. MWA teamed with Integrity Audio in Boise to provide a highly experiential atmosphere. Multiple screens, revised house seating and a cutting edge platform were designed.
The lobby area was enlarged and multiple informal seating/meeting areas designed. Technology is paramount for this ministry and the foyer has plenty of it. Restrooms are being relocated and enlarged in a better location within the facility.
Administrative offices were relocated to the former sanctuary balcony. And at the center of the new plan is a Cafe with spacious seating. Also included is a welcoming children’s check-in area and central fireplace seating area for meetings and fellowship. Also, exterior alterations were designed to update the exterior and outside seating is located near the entrance to the church.
“As pastors and leaders we want to make sure that we are stewarding well what God has given to us in our local church. Our partnership with Mountain West Architects has been one of the best investments we could have made in our current project. An incredibly skilled team that cares genuinely about what God has called us to do as a church, is what we have found in working with the MWA staff. We are so thankful for our connection with this great team.”
